What is BalticShop.com?
BalticShop.com is an internet store offering original items from the three Baltic
states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. While most of the products on the BalticShop.com
site are custom made and shipped from the Baltic states, we also offer some
authentic items made by people from the Baltic region living in other parts of the world
(currently we offer books, music, crafts by Lithuanians and Latvians living in Canada and the US).
BalticShop.com, LLC is a Connecticut, USA based company, established in 1998.
Our online catalog was launched in June of 1999.
Can you send me a catalog?
Our Web site is our most extensive catalog. Our first print catalog was published in November of 2006. To receive a copy,
please send email to info@balticshop.com with subject line "print catalog subscription" and include your full mailing address.

SHIPPING INFORMATION |
How long will it take to receive the items I order?
That depends. We use various freight carriers, depending on the origin and destination
as well as the nature of goods shipped. Most of our products ship directly from the producer's or importer's
warehouse and usually are shipped out within one week. Some items, such as jewelry, usually are made
to order. Estimated delivery time is posted for each product in product description pages.
When will my credit card be billed?
Your credit card will be charged shortly before the items are shipped out. For items made in small
quantities which are marked as 'order' or 'special order' in the product description page, as well as for
special requests, will you credit card be charged at the time of ordering.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
For orders shipped to Connecticut (where Balticshop.com is located), a 6% Connecticut sales tax will be applied to
your purchase. Otherwise, no tax will be charged.
What about customs?
You will NOT have to make arrangements for your purchase to clear customs if you live in the United States.
While there is a small possibility that customs duty will be charged to you, if it does happen, please provide
us with the copies of receipts and we will reimburse you.
For deliveries outside of United States the recipient is responsible for any applicable duties.
Generally, we have not heard many concerns regarding the duties
from our clients. The
worst case scenario - if the applicable duty exceeds 10% of the value of your purchase, you can reject the
order, it will be sent back to us and we will issue you a credit. If we have any concerns or knowledge of
potentially high (more than 10% of the value) duties to be
applied by the receiving country, we will also notify you before an order is shipped. Please contact
us if you have any concerns or questions about duties.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
Some products are marked "free shipping" (for example, stickers), for all other products you
will see the shipping cost on the checkout page before you have completed your purchase. Currently
we are charging the same shipping rates
to all countries.
Can I get express shipping?
Yes, please contact us by e-mail at
info@balticshop.com for rates and delivery scedule for specific items. We will do our best
to expedite the process.
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping charges are usually determined by the weight of your order. The cost of shipping is
normally added to the price of our products. The shipping charge will be shown
as a separate line in your order summary. If the shipping cost
is included in the price of the product, you will see 0 (zero) in the shipping .
We negotiate the best deals possible with our freight carriers and pass these savings on
to you. Since our products vary in size, weight
and origin, the shipping costs reflect these differences.
Generally the total shipping costs for a particular order are lower for items shipped from the
same country (Latvia, Lithuania, or the US).
How long does delivery take?
Approximate delivery times for each product are posted on the product description pages.
Please remember that because Balticshop orders products directly from
manufacturers or importers, some time is involved in processing your
order. This also means that if you order several types of products at once, they
may be shipped from different countries, and may
arrive on different days. We are working hard to reduce the delivery time and often
it will take less
than indicated
on the product page.
Can I have a product delivered to a P.O. Box?
Yes, the product will be delivered by the Postal Service. Products shipped by UPS only (such as
bread) cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box address.

RETURN POLICY |
What is your return policy?
We stand behind the products we sell. If for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, it can
be exchanged or returned for a refund (of product price). If you receive an unwanted, damaged,
or defective product from us, we'll send you a replacement or a full
refund (product price plus shipping). If the return is the result of our error, we will also
refund shipping cost and the cost of returning the item.
Balticshop accepts most merchandise for return or replacement within 15
days after you receive it. To request a replacement or refund, email our
Customer Service Department
info@balticshop.com within the 15-day time frame or give us
a call at 1-800-506-2312 (North America) or 00 (371) 2928-6434 (Europe).
The following items are non-returnable: items ordered by special orders or requests.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS |
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship orders to all countries. Currently we ship products either directly from the United States
or from the Baltic states, depending on the origin of goods and our logistics situation at any given
time, therefore, many of our orders are shipped internationally every day.
We understand that international shipments sometimes are affected by the governments and by politics. On such (currently rare)
occasions we will contact you before the product is shipped out and make arrangements to ship via UPS or
otherwise. Unfortunately, due to multiple attempts of fraud, we cannot ship to some
countries, including Indonesia, Nigeria under any circumstances.
How much is shipping to my country
Currently we charge the same amount for shipping to all countries. The shipping cost will be calculated
and shown on the screen as you add items to the shopping cart. We are putting in an extra effort to reach
and establish customers worldwide, that often means we are charging less than the actual shipping expenses
to many countries. At some point we may begin to charge higher rates for shipping to some countries in
order to recover the
actual shipping and insurance costs. In any case, a full shipping cost of your order will allways be
shown at the checkout screen before the order is submitted.
How much will it cost in my currency?
To get an idea of how much the purchase will cost in your currency, check out this
currency converter. Enter the US dollar amount and
then choose your currency from the column on the right side and press 'convert'. The actual exchange rate
you will pay depends
on the rates charged by your credit card company, but generally these rates are pretty good.
How long will my international delivery take?
Currently we ship all international shipments via air-mail. We have added estimated delivery time to each
product. Although sometimes we have experienced delays, generally international shipments are delivered within
the time frame indicated on the product page.
Can you ship internationally via Express carrier?
Yes, we also ship international orders via UPS or DHL. You will need to pay the extra shipping costs, but in
return you will receive a speedy service (usually shipping time is 3 days or less from the moment the
package is ready for shipping). Please contact us for quotes.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY |
Do you sell or share my name and address with other companies?
We respect the privacy of our customers. We do not sell, rent or share any of our
client information to any other party.
Your postal address, telephone number and
email address will not be sold or made available to other companies.
How safe is it to pay by credit card on the Web?
Perfectly safe. When you enter your payment information into your own
computer and click on the Submit button, before your computer actually
sends the data, it scrambles (encrypts) the information. Only our server
has the key to unscramble (decrypt) it. Once the payment is in our hands,
it gets re-encrypted and goes through secure channels to our credit-card
processing network. In most cases (unless you call us with a question),
human eyes never even see your card number. In fact, it's a lot safer than
reading your card number aloud over the telephone.

Can I get a printed receipt?
You can print the confirmation of your order from the screen which you
will see after checking out.
Backordered products policy
Most of our merchandise is shipped directly from our manufacturers or
importers. We do our best to stay on
top of their inventory, and in most cases, products that are backordered
(not in stock) are marked with a backorder flag on the product description
page. Sometimes, however, it could happen that an item is out of stock.
In this case we will notify you immediately and do our best to resolve the
problem as soon as possible.
What is your cancellations policy?
Change your mind? If your order hasn't been shipped from the distributor
yet, we can cancel it and reverse your charges. Once an item has been
shipped, you'll have to return it (at your own expense) to us. If you have
changed your mind and want to cancel your order, please send email to info at balticshop.com
or call 1-800-506-2312 (North America) or 00 (371) 2928-6434 (Europe). Keep in mind that we try to deliver the products as soon as
possible, therefore, some of our products ship out the same day you order
them.
When are refunds issued?
If you decide to return something, your refund will be issued after we
receive your merchandise.
